This weeks 5:30 start time appeared to be just a "target time" and not the actual go time of our weekly ride. Despite the late departure (benefiting Matt C and The King....allowing their tardiness to fully participate) there was a good turn out, about 12-14 strong. Brian Haas had the misfortune of being hit by a car on the way to the ride dislocating his shoulder and creating road rash in areas most guys can not fathom. Hope your anniversary goes ok Brian. The frontage road sprint had resemblances of the McEwen/O'Grady rivalry seen in last years tour (head hook and all). Despite his earlier crash, Haas seemed to take out his aggression towards automobiles on the Waterfall climb escalating the pace to near warp speed....... Post Madison hill team SRAM took over in a TTT mode continuing a rather "FRESH" pace. The final sprint was won by who? I don't know, my eyes were foggy and glazed by then.
