May 10th, 2006

It was great to see the Ladies come out (Lisa and Chris). Despite the pending rain we had a pretty good turn out. We were minus some of the usual young whipper snappers. The Chickenmaster took a pass to attend a T-Ball game....Who Won?

With a closed frontage road ignored by the group the intermediate sprint still took place amongst sewer piping, stone piles, heavy machinery and road barriers. Who knows who won? Inevitability IDOT.

Matt Caron took the longest south frontage pull I think I have ever seen him do. Taking charge from lemont road to just about cass ave. Usually a pull of that length from him occurs at about 14mph.

The group rolled the waterfall climb minus any fireworks only to find Team Apache waiting at the light. After the longest stoplight delay known to man (not enough steel amongst 30 cyclists) the groups rode the Madison hill together, conversed lightly and parted ways at 95th street.

After a regrouping the finishing pace instilled. Ron put the screws on (common theme these days..... all those ride camps...... the boy is fit) up the Plainfield climb only to run into the RED light district. Ritchie was to pull off his first sprint finish of the year. Until next time...............................
